Coil spring spacer price difference
I am interested in lifting my truck with the coil spacers, and ball joint spacers. The price on 4Crawler.com for the coil spacers are $90. But when I was at my local auto parts store I noticed they had these same spacers (At least they looked the same) for just $13. Could they really be the same thing?

I'm looking for 2-4. Im really not sure yet, I'd have to search around for other 2nd gen 4runners on 32"s and find out how much lift they have, and see what it looks like.

They do fit just fine, its just that I want my truck bigger and dont have the money to go for a suspension lift yet. I'd like to do the balljoint\coilspacer lift. I was just wondering if anyone had boughten a coilspacer from an auto parts store, and had it been the same product 4crawler.com sells.

Those you prolly saw are rubber and not much good.
I have a set on mine and am going to new springs instead. I had to put 2 on each side just to bring it level.

you need new shocks if you use a spacer lift.
if you just want to lift an in or 2 & want to do it on the cheap why not bodylift?
I have a 1 in on my 90 4runner from WabFab

I'm sorry im completely new to this, if I were to buy larger springs to lift me 2" past stock ride height, would I have to get longer shocks too?
I dont like the idea of a bodylift mainly because of my grille guard, and I want to get my gas tank, etc. up higher from those rocks.

I bought allpro offroad 1.5 inch lift springs and I didn't have to get longer schocks, or brake lines. And they are about 150 plus shipping. They made a really big differance both in how my 4runner looks and how it carries any kind of trailer weight.

Did you flex the rear out and make sure that the stock shocks are long enough and not limiting your droop ?
If you're not concerned with droop, that is really don't wheel much, then the stock shocks, most likely, will work just fine.
If you don't get new shocks to take advantage of any additional droop that you make have, then you won't need longer brake lines with 1 1/2" ~ 2" of lift.

A suspension lift (we're talking about the rear) can come as longer springs or spring spacers, it's *basically* the same.
Sounds like you haven't thought things through at all.
With the 2" suspension lift, you'll need not only longer shocks (if you want to take advantage of the lift), but you'll also have to do something with the LSPV and the trackbar.
With a bodylift, you can raise not only the gas tank, but also the xfer case/tranny and still keep the COG relatively low.
Grill guard aside, you may wish to consider a bl.
