Code 41 help

I replaced my altenator and did the "big three" andmy car is still throwing a code 41 i reset everything as well any ideas

Year/Make/Model??? I assume its a 86-95 4rrunner? code 41 is tps if I'm not mistaken.... maybe it needs replaced or adjusted?

tps is the throttle position sensor. Where is the hole?

its in that black box it got to close to my headres and melted

The throttle position sensor is just above the engine- that big piece of metal between the front tires that makes the truck go.
Just kidding.

Seriously though, it's on the throttle body, which is on the opposite end of the plastic tube that connects to the air filter.

i know what the sensor is the question is if i have a hole in that black box that connects the two pieces of 3 in plumbing for the intake will that set off the sensor

Nope. ... and I hope you get that I was only joking?

A hole in the intake duct would cause the engine to run like crap, if it even runs, and may throw a code related to the VAFM.

you sir... need to do an ISR mod or go get a short-ram intake kit.

but yeah your TPS is probably jacked up try testing it... refer to the FSM. the tps problem is most likely un-related to the hole in your intake, which is causing a lean mixture unless you have it patched with something.
