clutch and vibrating problems...

so heres my problem... its hard to shift like the clutch isnt open all the way so i replaced the slave cylinder (its was poopie anyways) and that helped a bit. i also checked the clutch pedal braket and there was no cracks. now when i shift into first gear my whole truck vibrates. it only happens when i reach around 1200-2000 rpms. i have searched the fourms and havent really found anything that seems to be my problem any help/advice would be great. thanks.

are u sure its a clutch problem and not the motor like needing a tune up. sounds more like a missing problem or something along those lines.

Sounds like a driveline problem

Did you bleed the clutch REALLY well. I would go do it again.

just a thought, I recently had the u-joints in my drive shaft replaced with new ones and it is suddenly a breeze to shift through all of the gears and reverse. The old joints where stiff and hard to move with your hand. The vibrating seems to be commonly related to dive shaft imbalance/ damage and the u-joints.

I have been working on my 1990 pickup clutch for weeks. I replaced the master cylinder and slave cylinder and it worked for a few days then the fluid turned black again and clutch pedal is so stiff it feels like I'm about to bust the pedal mounting brackets.... I'm about to pull the tranny out now. Does anyone know if there is any way to test the cheap master cylinder I bought from the parts store?? Good luck

Did you completely flush the old fluid out?

Yes I used a power bleeder to suck as much out as I could. The color of the fluid don't worry me as much as the extreme stiffness of my clutch pedal......
