Clutch Soft Line
The clutch soft line that runs from the hard line near the firewall to the hard line that runs in the direction of the slave cylinder sprung a massive leak today and left me without a clutch. Anyways, It is now stranded at my job and need a fix quick. None of the auto parts stores around here seem to carry it and i need to get this fixed tomorrow. Is there any other Toyota clutch or brake line that will work?

Alright, the front brake line for the 90-95 4runner does work! It is 14 inches long instead of 11, but it will still fit in the bracket (cost 12 dollars from napa, instead of the 40 Toyota wanted for the clutch line). Be sure to get a 10mm flare nut wrench to remove the hard lines (no chance of rounding it off and it doesn't slip off). And remember, there is an access panel in the wheel well (makes getting the line out of the bottom bracket so much easier. Have fun bleeding the clutch after this.
Thanks for the help

nice man glad to hear it went well. My clutch line was hitting my manifold and burned a hole in it and left without a clutch 1 hour from home. When I got home, we took some steel braided brake line too. Glad to hear it worked out fo ya.

worse comes to worse start the truck up in first gear with the pedal floored. then pop it out of gear and let the engine rev over 4000 RPMS, and on the drop from 4000RPMS to 1000RPMs apply pressure into the next gear. It works like a champ down shifting is harder.

i would have tried to drive it without the clutch, but i might just live in one of the hilly-est places on earth with a stoplight on each incline. Everything worked out though, so no worries.
