clutch problem

Yes! I can shift it into gear with the engine off, and the clutch in, but I have to force it. To get it to move (home) I put it in gear, started it, and it immediately lurched forward with the clutch still in. When I pushed the clutch in with the engine running I was unable to disengage the gear (first). I turned it off, crammed it into gear, started it, lurched forward with the clutch out, and cruised on home.

Don't start a new thread every time you respond to a question, please continue with the previous post and tell us what year make and model that will keep all of your questions and answers in one place. if you have a hydraulic clutch you need to see if it's leaking, fix that and bleed it. It could also be a problem with the throwout bearing or the clutch itself, but one thing at a time, is the clutch master cylinder full?
