Hi,
Truck: 1993 V6 4x4 SR5 5-Speed with factory 31x10.5s

Which clutch do you like for a daily driver? I am still on the original after 245,000 miles and I will need to address it in the next 6 months I think. The truck is a daily driver and does a bit of hauling/towing.

I have access to a good company discount at NAPA so I have been getting things there lately.

I expect there are some favorites or ones to avoid though. What do you like?

245k miles...? really? if you're getting that much life out of it, replace it with the same clutch.

Yep, Original clutch, 245,000 and counting. You make a good point though.
Is it a stepped flywheel on the 3.0? If I need to turn it, how much can I take off it or do just need to replace it?

if its an OEM clutch, get another OEM clutch. my OEM clutch went out at 114k, i replaced it with a napa one and at 161k miles its going out again. ( i have aussie lockers and i wheel alot )

The stock toyota clutch is the best for mostly on road driving. if you are a serious offroader you should look at Marlin clutches at www.marlincrawler.com

A quick visit to the Marlin site shows me he has flywheels for much less than OEM. It looks like he uses the SECO/Aisin stuff too.

Snobdds, what do you like about the Aisin clutch. I like $70 in my pocket for sure but beyond that, why would I choose it? Does it have the Aisin disc or the Seco disc? I like the recommendations though.

I like Aisin because there are the OEM supplier for Toyota clutches. The last Aisin clutch lasted 240,000 for me, why would I change now? You will need to get your flywheel machined from someone local though.

Theres a place in Nashville TN called Tennessee clutch and supply that sells the complete clutch kit (aisin) with everything for $65. The 6 puck racing version is only $120. Thats the best price ive found for an aisin clutch.

even if it is a daily driver, i would go with a heavier duty clutch from marlin. i have a 22re, and got the one rated at 1800ft/lbs. i love it. its a hair stiffer than stock, but i like clutch to be a little stiff. first time you drive it, you get used to it. it helps me wher ei got 35s on stock gears, and it woudl help you alot since you tow occasionally, plus, the heavier clutch is there when you need it

Since you asked what I liked I will say Marlin HD.

I loved the one I had in my 86 4runner and will put one in my 88 excab eventually.
