Clutch

So I am going to do the clutch next weekend. I ordered the MArlin 1200 ftpd clutch, master, slave, bolt kit. I also ordered pilot bearing, and Rear Main Seal from toyota. I'm thinking a Standard Flywheel from Autozone should do fine if needed, otherwise I will cut the flywheel if its able to be cut.

My truck has started to slip on the highway in 4th and 5th gear when under acceleration. Almost like it is in neutral. The clutch has been ridin hard and hung up wet.

I'm runnin 31x10's on stock 411's. This shouldn't pose a problem with the new clutch I hope.

Any opinions?, things I should do as long as I'm gonna have it on a lift and tranny out?

Thanks, Dave

What does the kit from marlin come with? Disc, plate, and TO bearing?

Might want to check tranny input seal too.

might want to rethink those gears with 31's. probably need to think 4.56 or 4.88's. that thing will be a turd with 4.11's. I have 4.30 now and it isnt too bad, but 4.56 should be very nice.

4.11's and 31's isn't bad at all. Vast majority run that. I cruise the freeway @ 70 in 5th. (which is an overdrive). Typically 4th gear is seen if I'm forced to cruise slower ie traffic. But its a 22R, so keyword is CRUISE. LOL

The Marlin clutch is excellent, theres nothing for you to worry about with your current drivetrain setup. Mines identical. I love it. Make sure you get the throwout bearing clips on right. Otherwise that SOB will clatter on the pressure plate, personal experience.
