Chevy axle swap questions

I looked for a thread on this and did not find one, I have recently traded for a unfinished 87 extra cab. it has 1/2 ton chevy axles under it. The rear end is a 4 link setup with half leaf packs flipped upside down. The guy sold the shackles that mount on the rear of the front springs. I am just curious if anyone has any experince on these before i waste steel lol. Mainly worried about pinion angles etc. Is there a certain design that would be better than others? Ive had an 85 4runner and I have an ifs truck so its all new. The truck has about 6" of suspension lift. Any thoughts or opinions would be welcome, also does anyone know of a good way to build a fuel cell? Looking forward to being able to wheel it this comming spring if all goes well. Thanks for any answers and input!

1/4 elliptical suspension? I'd change it out to coils or air shocks

With having a newborn at home and just me working for a while I'm trying to do on tighter than normal budget. Anyone know a good place for affordable coilovers or even just springs? Guess I also need to figure out length etc.

It is a 1/4 lip setup with a thrown together link setup. Guess I will just fool with it and improve it,
