Check engine light flashes

I having some CEL issues on my 87 toyota.
It flashes every few minutes or so, but different amount of times.
It flashes 1,2,3, and 4 times, randomly.
When it flashes 1 time, my manual says this is "No Malfunction"
2 is "Airflow Meter Signal"
3 "Ignition signal"
4 "Water thermo sensor signal"

Are any of these a major problem, he truck runs fine and never skips a beat. Im not sure if somethings malfunctioning or not. If it helps, its not the original engine that was installed in the truck, so maybe the sensors are just freaking out?
Thanks

It flashes like that when you arent jumping T and E1 in the diagnosis terminal? is it a 22r or 22re?
Try jumping "T" and "E1" in the diagnosis terminal, turn the key to the "ON" position THEN count the flashes

I've never heard of the CEL acting like that. What year, engine, etc. is the vehicle?
I recommend to pull the trouble codes and see what is going on.

Its a 22re, and it flashes like that at random. Im not sure what you are saying about the diagnosis terminal, I am just looking up in my repair book on what the flashes mean, and thats what it said. I dont really know how to do the diagnosis terminal thing.
Thanks

I know, its really weird, its a 1987 toyota turbo pickup, but a 22re is now in there.

So it has the Turbo ECU still installed, or was it changed to the non-turbo ECU?

Take a paperclip, unfold it. Bend it in half but don't break it, Look on the driver's side engine bay near the PS reservoir and there should be a yellowish plastic cylinder thing. Take the cap off that. Somewhere it should say what each terminal is ( like under the cap or something) Put one end of the paperclip in "T" and the other in "E1". Turn the key to the "ON" position but don't start it. Count the number of times the CEL flashes in the dash and you have your code(s).
If there isn't the yellow plug/cylinder thing on the driver's side then near the fuse box on the passenger's side there will be a small black box labeled "diagnosis". Jump the same terminals in there, "T" and "E1".

87 should have the diagnostic connector near the battery, not the PS fluid reservoir.
