Check Engine Light

I just had the head gasket replace and I have been driving it for about 2 days and today the check engine light came on. I am going to check it tomorrow after work. My question is could it be something serious that would damage the engine if I drive it tomorrow.

Thanks
Shannon

Check the code to find out waht it is.

Then remove your battery contacts for 10 mins, then drive it, if the code comes on you defently have a problem, if it goes away then it was a ghost code.

From the sound of it, I'll bet it's pretty serious... (<<<wiseass)

Did you replace the knock sensor wire when the head gaskets were done?

Yes I replaced the knock sensor and wire. The code is 71 which is EGR System malfunction. Isn't this for CA only?
