Quick question, I drive a 1987 Toy truck with 22ret. I installed the Chaos Fab last summer, think its the Gen 1, but it has the torsion bars, not the coil over. For the last month I have seemed to notice that the front seems to be sittin a little lower than normal. Today I adjusted the torsion bars up aprox 1 1/2 inches on inch side. Yeah it seems to sit level, but the Chaos A arms are aprox 1/4 in from sitting on the bump stops. I dont like the idea that I will now have no downward travel but that 1/4 inch. When my truck is sitting on a flat surface the measurement from the ground to the frame just behind the lower Chaos control arm is 21 1/2 inches, prior to adjusting the torsion bars the height from the same area was 20 inches. I think. So, if anybody who has a Chaos Fab LTS,could you please give me a measurement from the frame to the ground from behind the lower control arm. I would appreciate that.
I am running 33" BFG's as well and they are at 35 PSI.

I am also looking at possibly selling all of the Chaos Fab components and going SAS at the end of this summer.

Is the front sitting the same now as it was 2 months ago? If so you probally only had 1/4" of downtravel then too.

When we installed the kit and welded the bumpstops I seem to remember alot more room between the arm and the bumpstop.

On a t-bar setup there isnt a lot that would cause you to sag. As long as you can adjust the bars you will have the same height, and travel.

is it possible the rear is higher, did you remove something heavy?

I was getting worried that the Tbars were already wearing out, I have a 4 " lift in the rear and I really dont remember if it sat that level from front to rear when installed. What I will end up doing tomorrow is putting the height back to where it was.

even if they were worn out, you would still be in the same point of travel to acheive the same height.

Sounds good, I think I will put mine back to 19-20 inches. Do you have any close up pics of your lower bump stop when it is on level ground? And what brand fiberglass are you running. I have Glassworks front and rear on mine.
Thanks JMach1

The droop stop or bumpstop?

I'm running glassworks fenders.

Okay, they both look pretty much the same. Makes me feel better. Since we are running the same Glassworks fenders can you now measure from the top of the rim to the fender and see if we match. Mine is at 19 3/4 inches both passenger and driver side. Because if we do I am not touching a thing. I think it rides good as well it lifts the front up a bit.
Yesterday when I cranked on the TBars my upper a arms were about a 1/8 of an inch off the droop stop shown in photo.
Today they are where you see them.
Thanks JMach1

Well pretty much the same, except for those cool coil over shocks. LOVE THEM.. Kind of wish I would have gone that route instead.

Mine is at 19"

Keep in mind I'm running 16" rims also. If I had 15's it would be about 19.5".

Great, I do appreciate you doing that for me. I don't think I will do anything else, gonna leave it as it is.
Thanks JMach1
