Changing gears hard???????????

I am getting ready to put larger tires on my 1990 4Runner and keep reading about people recommending 529 rear gears for more power for the wheels. Is changing out the rear third member hard? I couldn't find any posts on it. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm guessing its an SR5. If you have a manual transmission, you have 4.56 gears. If you have an automatic, 4.88's.
