My front end is toast too.

I hit a dear last week going 75mph on the highway. We were all fine and the vehicle was still drivable, but now I have to replace the whole front end. How has it been for you? Any advice? Where did you get your parts and did you have to replace the grill clips (most of mine broke from the impact)? Thank and good luck.

I did a swap the other direction from the one you are doing. I put a 1995 4Runner front end on my 1989 pickup. In order to fit the headlights of the 1995 4Runner I had to cut off the core support, drill out all the spot welds and do the same to the doner. I don't know if you will have to do the same to go the other way but you may want to anyway if your front end is damaged.

I did the swap mainly because this style front end was never offered on the pickups and I wanted something different.

I've been wanting to switch out the grill on my '92 Pickup from the one with the Toyota symbol (which I hate), and putting in a grill from'89-'91 that says Toyota on it, they look so much better.

What all would be involved in that? It looks like it may be just a simple grill swap, since it's the same headlights.

I was just going to say, thats a tacoma grill!

What kinda headlights did you go with? Cheapies??

I got hella e-codes. They blow the doors off of most other headlights, even some HIDs!

the 200mm lenses can be had cheap. I had $5 replacements in before and they were like candle lights! But you get what you pay for

I'd love to have this front end on my '89...looks like it might be just a grille and headlight swap
