? Cargo Racks In The Winter

Does any one of you take off your cargo rack for the winter. If so, why?

I'm a little confused, is it a common occurrence to remove the rack in the winter? Have you noticed a trend? Maybe people use it for summer holidays, then want to improve aerodynamics the rest of the time.
