Cool CAR RADIO no power

I am back again guys. I have a 1995 Toyota 4 runner with a 3.0 in it. My son hooked the new battery up back words which in turn shorted it out. I replaced a few fuses and the vehicle runs, but the stereo will not turn on. I checked the fuse for the radio in the cab and its good, but the radio still doesn't come on. Any ideas ladies and Gents?

Respectfully,
James

The fact that the fuse is good doesn't prove that there is power in the wire. Can you use a multimeter??

If there's actually power to the radio and it doesn't turn on, it's probably baked.

If that's the worst repercussion from the reversed polarity incident, you can count yourself lucky.

Good! next only to our senses, the multi-meter is the best troubleshooting tool...
Check for 12V at both sides of the 7.5-Amp Radio fuse (bottom right-hand corner) ... If not present, trace back to battery and see where you lost it...
