1992 22RE 5-speed
We attempted to remove t-case (forward shift) without removing transmission from truck
Can't get it off further than about an inch away from transmission
Seems to be hung up on shift rails

Is there a trick to this?

 

Did you remove the shifter?

 

No, the shifter was still in place.

 

you need to remove your transfer shifter from trans so it can be removed. those forks that you see in the pic go into the trans and the transfer shifter locks it in
