Can you tell a difference with the new springs and shocks?
Alright, after the valve adjustment last week, i decided i need to get my new Eibach 1.5" springs in and my Pro Comp es9000's and Stabilizer in! So, got home this morning and started on the rear.
Followed the FSM to the T.....but I didnt like the way they wanted me to keep the tires on so, i took of the tire while the frame was on Jack stands and pushed the axle down and out they came........ Tons more room with the tire out of the way. I had the wife come out and stand on the brake drum wile i pushed the new ones in without a hitch. I didnt realize how much of a difference it was going to make.
So I put everything back on and took the stands out and holy Crap... It seemed like the body didnt drop! guess i got a little more lift than i was expecting.
So then came the front shocks , EASY, no problems what so ever...
But i new things were going wayyy to good , so i expected the dreaded steering stabilizer that was pressed in from the factory. And sure as heck, it was a pain. I ended up, blow torching it then dousing it with cold water and hitting it with a 2ft 1/2" extension with the cup side. I was able to angle it and get some good shots in. once it came out the install was simple to finish.
Having said that I took it for a test drive and really noticed a difference.
The original owner for some reason never had the shocks replaced. He hauled around a 23ft Ski Nautique.... Usually from the central valley up Mt. Shasta. So i think my springs were shot, if thats possible, and original shocks those to were shot......... Here are some pics of the before and after
Next, Put on the Yakima warrior rack My new spare and my hi lift in the rack and taking off the running boards. I know there are a TON off different opinions about the TJM and ARB bumpers, but dont be afraid to Chime in and give me your opinion. Any other suggestions FEEEEL FREE to let me know, i love suggestions!
Thanks Mates :bigclap:
