Can I cut up an SR5 cluster to put after market gauges in?

The oil pressure and water temp gauges on my SR5 cluster are both too inaccurate for my turbo diesel so I'd like to put the 2 1/16" autometer gauges i have in their place. I know the tach can be removed as well as the speedo, but can I put 2 gauges over on the left side and remove the stock gauges without ruining the entire gauge cluster? thanks

I don't see why not? If you cut the right places it should work fine, thought about a pillar gauge set up? If you do it post some pics
