camper skylight/sunroof?

Ok guys, just real quick and easy. What's the general word with putting either a fixed skylight or an action sunroof in our fiberglass hardtop? Three of us will be living out of our truck and we have a bunk bed set up in the bed. A window in the roof would be so beautifully welcome. Easy, tough, expensive? Whatcha think guys?

you'd have to cut a hole with a sawzall or something and then fit some kind of a slider in there and make sure it doesn't leak, any pics of your bunk bed setup?

I don't think it would be that hard to put in a permanent one, the sliding sun roof may be a little more difficult to get sealed.

Oh and two questions.

1) Why are you living out of your truck? (I'm guessing an extended camping trip but you never know)

2) When can we see pictures of the bunk beds?

Cool guys. We're gonna see about just sleeping the other direction tonight down by the port windows and if thats enough then I'd rather not bother cutting the roof.

Two good friends and myself will be leaving after Christmas this year on a overland expedition to South America via our Runner. We're leaving from Austin, Texas and will be living out of the truck.

I will definitely get bunk bed pictures up tomorrow after we finish it up and will draw up some written dimensions etc. We have a huge advantage of build in that none of the 3 of us is over 5'8". We are probably not six footer friendly. Just a heads up. But nonetheless, pictures soon.

Wow, that sounds amazing!!! You've got to put a log up here on Yotatech. That's epic.

And yes, more pictures of the setup please.
