cable to transmission?

94 toyota v6 4x4. The cable from my throttle body to transmission has a lot of slack and truck strains like it has no power when in 4wd. Could this be the cable or tps? If so wheres a good place to get the cable? Thanks for any advice.

It's not the cable. The throttle cable to the transmission only controls how hard it shifts, not when it shifts. (It shifts harder when the throttle is open farther.)

But it could be the TPS. The good news is that your transmission provides a "free" TPS check. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...34electron.pdf Sure beats doing it with a ohmmeter.
