A/C wire -- where is it?

I got my 3.0 back in the '90 4Runner and have nearly everything connected, but I can't find the wire for the A/C compressor from the harness. The wire from the A/C compressor isn't very long and I've looked all around the unit to see where the wire comes from the harness but it's a mystery. I'm hoping someone here can help me solve it so I can find the missing wire.

Update:
I continued random browsing of the forums and found a an engine picture that showed the A/C wire. It turns out the connector was broken and I was looking for something completely wrong, but I have the right wire now.

Feel free to take a picture of your wire, or mark up the picture you found, and post it. Someone might find this thread with a search, and be grateful for your contribution.

As requested, here are the pictures. What I started with was a really strange looking connector coming off the A/C compressor. It was clamped to one of the refrigerant hoses and had only a very short range. That is marked "B" in the image. The other interesting thing was a loose wire (marked "A") sticking out of the wiring harness that I thought was part of the alarm system that I removed from the truck. The loose wire didn't look anything like the connector, so I presumed they were not related. However, I was looking at random pics on the forum and found a clear picture showing the connector was connected to that loose wire.

When I investigated, I found the loose wire had just come out of the connector, which made the connector look very strange. I stuck them together and they fit like they were made for each other.

Problem solved. I would probably not have figured it out without this forum.
