C-Rok bumpers: nice style, good model for DIY fab?
i picked up my OME cs009s last week, and when i pulled around to the work bays to load 'em, i saw a cherokee on a lift with a clean looking rear bumper. i asked the tech helping me put them in my truck, and he said actually that jeep was his. so he let me take a closer look at it, i took a couple rough measurements, and i think this bumper would work very well on my 88 runner with custom brackets to frame mount it. does some co. already make a bumper in this style?
i read on the site they use 3/16 plate. is that enough? less than 1/4"?? i don't know enough about steelwork to form an opinion.
either way, i thought the bumper was a clean look that suited the back of a runner and the style could be easily duplicated if someone wanted to take a stab at it; possibly extending the side protection to make it more resemble the plastic guards on the runner qtrs. here's a pic and link:
