A/C compressor removal

Ok, trying to replace the A/C compressor on a 93' 4runner; I guess there is absolutely no way it comes out the bottom??? I'm trying to remove the P/S pump, but the pulley nut wont budge. Are there any suggestions how to remove the P/S pump PULLEY so I can remove the pump. Looks like the bolt behind the pulley wont come out far enough to remove the pump without hitting the pulley. Any help is appreciated.

The pulley is part of the clutch assembly, which is not all that easy to remove even with the compressor off the truck.

You don't say what engine you have but on my 3.0 I moved the PS pump over and removed the compressor from the bottom.

It wasn't any fun.

OK..that was not fun at all....no wonder we were quoted $1,000 for this job! Removed the P/S pump and pulled the compressor out the top; had to pull and re-install the clutch while it was still in the rig. Off to get it recharged. Thanks all.
