Bypass the neutral safety switch??

Also check the starter relay in the engine copartment fuse box, Swap it with the AC relay if you have to.

@punchy would that have something to do with it??

Yes, starter relay powers the starter solenoid. As suggested by scope103, and as I detailed in my post above, check it.

If you suspect the start relay and IF AND only IF AC relay is same part as starter relay, go ahead and swap them, as punchy suggests. If swap fixes it, OK to suspect your starter relay.
