When I fist got the truck, it was overheating a bit. Especially when the heater was on. I found that the water pump bearing was bad. I thought, then, that that was the noise. When I changed the water pump the noise returned as usual. I thought it might be the fan clutch but once off of the motor, it felt good too.

I appreciate all your input and while the mechanic was pulling the hubs apart, he found a bad wheel bearing. He slapped a new one in and the noise is gone. I haven't gotten the truck back yet but he seems sure that he fixed it. He only charged me $200 bux to replace the Tcase and the bearing. Not a bad deal since I didn't have the time to work on it myself. I am glad he figured it out.

I do have two transfer cases now and I was wondering if doubling them up is an easy job? Seems like you would have to modify the driveline at the least.

Time to go break something else.
