buying a winch and have a question

im getting ready to buy a m8000 warn winch to install in the front of my arb winch bumper. anybody familiar with this setup. (1991 yota) my main question is do i need to buy a winch plate seperatly to actually mount it to the bumper. THE winch doesnt mount directly to the bumper does it? anybody have anything negative things they have come across with this winch? please let me know thankyou.

I had the same setup on my '91, but I had the XD9000 winch which is just a bigger pulling capacity.

The winch should come with the roller fairlead, but if not you will have to buy one.

The winch drops right into the ARB cradle, and bolts will come with the bumper or winch to mount them together.

I just pulled my winch out of the ARB bumper before I sold it to a member a few months back.
Very easy to mount together.

So...you do not need to buy any extra mounting plate.
However, there are two ARB bumpers for that year.
One that accept a winch, and one that will not.
If you buy the latter, you are screwed.

Nothing wrong with the M8000 winch, it is more than enough for the '91.

I saved my XD9000, and it is going on my rig in November.
