Exclamation Buying 94 4runner!!?

My familey owns a towing company and we came across a 94 4runner Im looking at buying and probably will.
I might be able to get it for $1500-2000
Its a little beat up, big hole underneath the deck, rip in drivers seat, b
beat up carpet, cup holder torn out and the switch for the sun roof is missing.
paint is a little beat too.

it is a V6 with a 5spd.
im unsure how much i will like it over my auto 22re pickup, giving up that truck is a little scary

anyways here are some pics, please I WOULD LOVE SOME INPUT!!

i dont know man, iam loving the blue car behind the 4runner.

personally i would buy it and fix it up, number uno reason for me is that i dont enjoy driving an automatic, and second it would be nice to have two rigs.

ohyeahh lowridin the regal.

i dotn enjoy the auto either, i love the 5spd.
i dont have enough room for another car at my house at the moment so its one or the other

the runner has a bad oil leak also but its fixable. does anyone know that a flowmaster 40 series sounds like on a to v6?

3.0 will have more power especially with the 5 speed. i think youll like it a lot better than the 22re with an auto. you can always fix it up. those issues seem like minor things that the average mechanic could tackle.

22re in 4runners are big old turds unless you do some gears, the 3.0 with a 5spd is just a medium turd but its bearable, i wish my 91 was a 5spd. i had the flowmaster 40 on my 93 v6 4runner and it was pretty loud, on my 91 i got a magnaflow exhaust and high flow cat, it sounds pretty good to me, quiter at high speeds but good grunt at lower speeds

i also have a glasspack i might put on it, im leaning twards the 40 series.

the top of the engine looks brand new so its had some major work done.
183,XXX miles.

there is a pretty bad oil leak, the pan looks pretty clean so im hoping maybe double oil filter gasket?

well, im partial to pickups, but im also partial to manual transmissions. i prefer a 5spd with 120 hp over an auto with 140 hp. but rly u gotta think about it. if u keep the money couldnt u just make ur pu better than the runner? yea its got a bigger engine, but u can turn the 22re into a solid beast, or if uv got access to stuff like it seems u do u could just find an engine and do a swap. but i almost feel myself fallin for that 5spd just cause its not an auto. lol. good luck with that decision man, u need it.
