Bushwacker cut out fender flares????

I really like the look of the bushwhacker cut out fender flares, but of course they dont seem to have them for 2nd Gen 4runners But I have seen numerous pictures of 2nd Gens WITH these style flares,

my question is: Are these modified to fit from another veichle application? I.e from say a 1st Gen 4runner?

Or am I stuck with the sad extend-a-flare????

I'm sure anybody could make anything fit anything they wanted with enough time and energy/materials ect.... But does anybody have any input about this topic? I have searched, but it brings up lots and lots of everything else except what I'm looking for.

The reason why they don't make cut-out flares for the 2nd gen 4Runner is because of how little room there is between the wheel well and the door jam.
The cutouts take up 4"-6" in height on the fender.
Plus, any passenger will more than likely use the fender flare as a lift point and surely rip it out of the fender in no time.

You're kinda stuck with the big mudflap all around the wheel well.

So then what about custom fitting the cut out flares to a second gen?? The first picture shows what I want but I wonder what they are from??

those are from a 3rd gen pickup. They removed the factory rear bumper and filled in the the bottom section with a patch panel it looks like so that the back end is more like a pickup. What I'm going to be trying eventually is take a front set and flip them around and try to put them on the back. The rear wheel opening is VERY similar to the front wheel opening. Try it at tell me how it turns out

As I promised: Front 89-95 pickup flares flipped around and put on the back (front left goes to right rear)

If you are running big tires it will help if you cut out a couple inches out of the sheet metal on the back part of the fenders and If your axle is moved back a couple inches. I did trim the flares a little bit where they are by the rear door openings.
