Building in stages

Just an FYI for the new guys out there. If you think you'll want 35's and some 5.29's for the end game on your rig save your money and do it all at once. I've reached the end of my build and now want to do 35's and 5.29's but have spent that money on 31's and 4.56's along with all the armour and a locker. Building your rig in little stages is nice for the short term grins but it sucks when you get to this point and realize what you should have done......

Patience is the key.

Just an FYI.

good tip junkers... unless you are doing your build very slowly and it will be years before you can afford gears and tires...

Yeah I sold a 2000 4runner and a motorcycle to fund this one and just didn't think it through. If I'd have spent wisely I'd be SAS'd on 35's right now but I used the "extra" money to pay off a couple of credit cards and spent the slush fund on the rig.

glad to know I'm doing this right

I want nothing more than some meaty 33"s, 4.88's and lockers, some flexiness, and some armor, and I'm pulling it off for the most part all at once. Well, I guess all the similar things at once in the order I can do them and still keep the truck road worthy enough to drive on a daily basis; I'm doing the suspention first, then gears and lockers, then tires, then some armor; but each stage will take it's own saving up and collecting parts time. I'm still collecting parts for the suspention, but it's about ready to be setup

Well I dunno, I may do the tires right after the suspention and then the gears and lockers (will have to deal with the 33"s on stock gears in the mean time), mine are in need of replacing right now cause my alignment's off
