I am trying to restore my brown interior. Anyone find brown paint that matches factory. I have tried two different colors with no luck.

I have an 1984 and the plate is in the door jam aswell as under the hood on the firewall.

 

Your best bet is go to some dealerships and find out who the vinyl repair guy is that services the area for their used cars. He will have the pigments to match and probably sell you some in an areosol bottle. You can't find the '85 & '86 brown to match in the cans. I tried Duplicolor and SEM.

Thanks guys. I think I will try using the color code approach first.

I looked at the SEM paints its hard to tell by looking online if the color will match. I was hopeing someone has already tried this and might have a part number.

But I have tried Duplicolor and some plastic paint from Lowes with no success

 

Does anyone know the color code for a 89 4runner grey interior. Im getting a red dash peice that goes around the cd player w/ cigarette lighter and Im gona want to paint it grey like the rest of the interior. Im pretty sure its the common grey colour found on the 4runners and trucks dash.

 

The Duplicolor charcoal is very close to the late 80's grey.
