Brake lights stay bright...

When I turn my lights on to drive at night my rear brake lights constantly stay on as if I am pressing the brakes, even when I'm just rolling down the road. With the lights off however, the rear brake lights operate as they should, without being lit until i press the brakes. Is this a standard issue? Or what should I look into to fix this?

trailer harness, and taillight wiring of course it likes to fray or short out at the rear gromet above the exhuast. Somewhere between the tail light relay and the bulbs there will be a short, frayed or melted wires or similar.

Pretty much just get up under it and start looking, don't forget to check inside the light housings.
