I got my $100 bracket lift installed. I had to buy two tie rod/bj separators, two new bj's, and a new tie rod from kragen. It was a major PITA and took ten times as long as I thought it would. But now with the bracket lift/ bj spacers, I can clear 35's for sure. I will be picking up some well used 35's tonight and posting pics tomorrow.

Bracket lifts are a b**ch, mine took like two weeks to do (although a lot of that was taken up by school and it was winter and the days were short and there was a lot of waiting on hardware too)

 

pics tomorow because I cant post them from my phone so I will have to get to my parents house and use there computer. I got the 35's mounted and no rub at all I could fit 36's for sure. The stock gearing doesnt seem half bad either!
I did the lift in my gravel driveway with a massive bruise on my hip from a fmx wreck on my dirtbike. I had to make countless trips to the hardware store to get bolts and I had to make my own little square washer deals for where the bracket lift mounts to the frame. The bj's didnt want to come off, I had to soak them in pb blaster, then cut one in half with the sawzall and pound the stud out with a sledge hammer. The fork tool I bought only worked on one side. Then one of my tierods was completely screwed. That's just a few things that went wrong! LOL! It took me about 2 1/2 days but thats by myself.

Ok here it is. I got the 4 35's for $50! The rears are different from the fronts but the rear have like 1/4 tread and the fronts are pretty worn. I am going to run them for a couple months then get some new ones and use one for a spare. I am really stoked on how it turned out! I am going to take it out to the river bar later on today. I will try and get pics out there and post them up tonight. I still have to paint the rims black so no making fun of my blingn' gold rims. LOL

Well the front has about 5-6" of lift and the rear only has a 4 inch block..... But I plan to do some chevy 63's and that should fix it. But I want to keep it as is for a while so I can wheel instead of work.

Be careful with the axle-wrap those blocks will create on the stock springs. You don't want to crack a leaf on the trail and have to limp your way home.

I only wheeled once or twice with blocks before getting the lift springs and it was miserable. It really plays with your traction and power.


But it looks good! You've got me wanting 35's though...

 

I used to have a standard cab yota with 4 inch blocks in the rear and never had a problem..... Maybe I was lucky, I will just run this tell it brakes or tell I feel like getting chevy 63's.

Well I took it out and broke something in the front diff within 5min. Then tore a brake line off, then broke a shock.I fixed the brake line so now o have to get a 529 rear so I can run my 529 front diff.I'm going to weld bolts on for front upper shock mounts and run some rear kyb shocks in front.

 

rear shocks are eye-eye, front shocks are eye-stud. how you gonna deal with that?

 

They make these handy dandy doo-dads for that sort of thing:

I'm going to weld a bolt to the frame for the top eye but those adapters look rad! Where do u buy a set of them?

yeah, im still needing to get extended brakelines myself, the P.O just straightend up the coiled hardlines, and i have a prob with the shock hitting the bracket lift? you too?
