box year innerchangibility

will a 92 2wd box bolt onto a 87 4wd frame?

Is it the same length?

The body style is different, fyi, and the mounting locations are different..

i dont know to be honest. if the mounting locations were the same for sure and it would fit fine i wouldnt care about the styles. my box is too far gone for repair....

Well, if yours is long-bed, then count out any kind of replacement from later years..
might want to look at fiberglass bedsides, or just flatbed it

I had a 84 xtra cab 4wd that had a bad bed and I put on a next generation toy bed (89-94) on it and almost all the frame mounts and holes in bed worked, but the last 2 across from each other side by side (1 on each frame rail) closest to the tailgate didn't work so I left them out...Hope that helps...
