It will also not be rated for as much load as the hi-lift jack, but I also own an el-cheapo "hi-lift", and it's saved me a couple of times.

I hate high lifts, they are pointless with mud. They only come in handy when your floor jack is too small. Plus they are very unstable. But if you have a use for it, nice score and all the power too you.

Mine came in handy to lift the body off the frame by myself. It's good for working arounf the garage. Doubt I'd use it anywhere else, but I'll probably carry it with me.

i dont get how jacking up your truck when stuck would help you get out. I guess that you could stick something under the tire?

yeah I know it's not as good as the actual HI-LIFT jack. But I could have used it the other day when I got hung up on my transfercase, and later that knight when my buddy slid off the trail, lol junk jeeps. I think it looks cool too. I'm mounting it to my roll bar today.

let's see,

We use it as a come-a-long, lift up the tire to the point you can fill in UNDER the tire. Jack the end up and push the vehicle over when high centered.

I personally have used mine to rip a windshield out of an Explorer that rolled into a ditch to help get the lady out.

I spent the extra $10 and got the 60" model instead of the 48" at Sportsman's Warehouse.

With those you are missing the most important thing bout a high lift.

The detachable handle.

I use that more than the jack istelf. You beat things with it, use it as a breaker par, pry bar, all kinds of other uses.

I've found mine very useful on the trail.

Change tires
Pick up the ass end and turn it in place
I've pulled a XJ that I couldn't pull with the yota.(granted open diffs, street tires) He was stuck pretty bad though.

If u have sliders and good bumpers they are nice.

They aren't meant to be a service jack.

Second everyone thinking they rule. I have been saved by winching, lifting, flipped trucks over with it.. One time I even helped a guy use it on the bottom of a river to lift his engine out and get it fired up so he could try and bog his way out.

I got my 30 bux to of my cheepo hi-lift especially this summer when i changed my springs. I can safely say that they have no lateral strength what so ever I nearly bent mine in half when my truck tiped over. It still works but I dont think tat i will ever get under it again.

you're an idjit if you get under a vehicle that isn't properly support.

There ain't a jack in the world I would be willing to use that would make me feel comfortable enough to crawl under a vehicle.

Seems like it would be kinda hard to get to the frame with one of these. . .
