Cool Bought another truck!! :)

Alright so I was working yesterday and a guy brought a 1991 2wd pickup ext cab automatic with 105k miles for an oil change. I saw that the idler arm and center link were literally about to fall out. I showed him and he said he might as well scrap it, so I offered him $1200, and he took it.

Upon further talking to him, i found that he is the original owner, has all the books, the window sticker, and he just had the head gasket replaced along with the radiator, and he had the perfect condition original steelys. The seat is just starting to tear, the AC blows cold an its been retrofitted to r134a! It's red and with some wax, it should look brand new......did I get a good deal?

I am happy with it and i really can't lose, cause if i keep it and drive it ill save on fuel cause my dd is a 4wd dodge diesel. I have already had people offer me $1500 and around here these little trucks go for $2000-$3000 easy! It's also has zero rust!

The paint is a little faded, but I think some wax will bring the shine back!

Funny; you think you're going to get better fuel mileage than your Dodge diesel~ LOL

EDIT: is it a 6 or 4 cylinder?
4 cylinder = probably better mileage
6 cylinder = almost certainly won't be much better

Although, it IS a 2wd....

I get 14-16 miles per gallon in the diesel (its also not stock with 400hp and 800 ft lbs) I got 19mpg once on the freeway driving 400 miles at 62 mph, most people that own diesels exaggerate the fuel economy greatly.... nobody gets 21mpg out of a 4wd. I spend at least $100 a week in fuel with my commute (i never let the guage go below 1/4 of a tank)

The truck is 4cyl and automatic, And my work commute is 15 miles 90% hwy one way....it mainly will save me wear and tear on the diesel....diesel and 3/4 ton stuff is expensive!

But I may still sell it and make a quick grand! because that extra grand will go into the crawler to get the new cab and a bad ass exo cage/flat bed!
