Body Lift Question

I have an '91 Hilux Surf (same as 90-95 4Runner) with the turbo diesel engine and am planning on adding a 2" or 3" body lift so I can pack a top mounted intercooler under the hood. Just wondering if a 2-3" body lift would also let me fit some 33" tires as a bonus?

On searching the site it looked like a 4" suspension lift was the norm for fitting 33's but i couldn't find any info about body lifts and bigger tires.

normally 33's can fit with minimal work. but for sure with a 2 or 3in BL.

Do the 2" BL. After that, you can also lift your gas tank 2". 3" gives too much of a gap I think and starts messing up other stuff and you need extensions etc.
