I run a 4inch trailmaster suspension and a 3 inch body lift. I also have custom made brackets to raise the bumper up to match. I like it, and it doesnt seem tippy to me at all..I dont drive it like a racecar though. You can clear upto 36s with that lift and ZERO cutting...see mine below.

and on 33s

on sunday a really good friend of mine totalled his yota.. he had a 4 inch body lift on a 6 inc suspension lift... well he got cut off and when he rolled up the taller than average curb with his 37s there was a tree stump sticking up about 2 feet and his frame and axle hit that and the entire cab sheared off and continued into another tree 15 feet away

my suggestion is run something around 2

you dont want this to happen to u
keep it small and make it tough

4 inch body lift? Must have been homemade. I dont even think anyone sells one of them. not to mention, WHY does he need 10 inches of lift? If hes running 40s I can see why....

4in body lifts are illegal for just that reason. 3in and you'll be fine.

I'm runnin 3in suspension up front and LC rears that give me about 4 out back and I've got also a 2in BL..I like it, but I can definately feel a little body roll on my 3rd gen. It does make working on your rig easier, I say do it if it pleases you but be aware of the possibilities after it goes on like others have already mentioned.

Because we all know that if he just had that one inch less (couldn't have been 4", at most it was a 3") his truck would have just been fine right?

If he rolled up a steeper than average curb with that much lift and 37's, he was toast anyway. I suggest the 3" bl and some driving lessons.

Sorry to highjack but does anybody have an opinion on a 2" BL for a '93 Extra-cab to fit 33's, I'd like to keep the nice riding suspension the way it is, its mostly stock with Bilsteins, Thanks.

maybe your friend should try harder to avoid driving up curbs and hitting tree stumps...... driving lessons??? and i think no matter what he had or didnt have his truck was toast hitting a tree stump like that..

the 3" body lift and you can fit 33's nicely. thats what i started out with when i ran 33's the only problem may be the lower valance but just take it off and it will be fine. 2" and there may be some rubbing.

or just put 33x10.50s on it without any body or suspension lift. Make sure you use stock wheels and youre good. dont runn 33x12.50s, they will rub, too wide
