Body Lift = Broken Mounts
#3
I bought the truck like that. Looks like a 3" metal/aluminum BL. Me not checking it throughly came to find this out. It makes a wreched metal scrapping noise when you turn, I thought it was from the lose spare underneath the truck.

Ouch. Personally I would just raise the body and weld on a new plate spreading across the broken hole as wide as I could without cutting into the original structure of the vehicle. I would also definately get rid of the hard aluminum and install a proper block. Or abandon the lift all together?

That looks like a perfect candidate for www.4crawler.com
Fisrt off, get rid of the entire BL and replace it with a shorter (1-2") Poly Urethane BL or just get rid of it altogether. Either way you should also replace the original body mount bushings with poly bushings: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...l#PolyBushings
Like wrenchmonster said... get/cut a plate of metal (as big as possible) that will lay over the broken mount and then drill out a large enough hole for the bolt. Good luck.
