BMW E92 seat install

Hey guys I just finished putting a set of bmw e92 sport seats in my 87 regular cab and figured I’d throw up a write up on it. I’m not home right now but I will be posting pictures later of how I did it. For now here’s the YouTube link to a video I made while doing it

Alright so these are pictures of the brackets and mounting points I drilled. If anyone is interested I can get exact measurements of where I put mine. I’ll actually be redoing the brackets as you can see my welds are garbage and I’m not satisfied with it at all. BUT regardless the seats fit and with a bit of fab work are really comfortable seats for these pickups

I have the seats removed right now to put in the carpet but I’ll take good pictures as soon as they’re back in. Sorry for the delay but y’all know how the holidays get.

Man, what a cool idea! I'm subscribed and very interested to see your work. Can you please tell us the year and model of BMW you got your donor seats from? Thanks and looks like a great mod!

Well I won’t be able to blame the holidays for how long that took. I wasn’t happy with the last brackets so I’ve redone them. Just got my engine back from the machine shop and got my truck running so I’ve got a new fire under me to finish this up. I have better pictures now of my new brackets. All it took was a 1 1/4” square tubing and some flat bar from tractor supply.
final result pics

And the process

Nice! Is the computer inside the seats? All you need to hook up is power and ground and all the buttons work?

The computer is in the seats but I’ve just got a power and ground to move it. The memory function doesn’t work which I was fine with since it’s pointless in this small of a truck anyway.
