Black diamond body lift
I have been looking for a body lift for awhile now and I had posted a few adds looking for them.
Guy contacted me today saying he can get me a brand new
Black diamond by rancho 3" body lift for 160 bucks.
I searched google about this company and from what I have seen they only make lifts for jeeps and an older toyota fj.
Their website is out so I was woundering if anyone on here knew about this company?
Or is this guy just trying to get my money?

for what you get with the other 'budget' BL's...the 4crawler kit isnt that much more, but you get a much MUCH better quality product.
i got my 1.5" (paid the 2" price though), upgraded to HD hardware, didnt get the rad relocation, and paid extra $10 for black paint as im too lazy to prep n paint myself.
after shipping cross the border via USPS, conversion and tax at the post office, it was a bit over CDN$200. not bad considering the kit you mentioned is $160(usd$ assuming)...
when comparing the diameter of rogers kit, and the other ones PA/rancho..etc etc...theres no comparison. the narrow diameter 'honeycomb' pucks will punch a hole through your cab mounts in no time...
another vote for the 4crawler setup. great guy to deal with. ie: i was concerned about the hold up at customs (the way it is with USPS cross border shipping) and roger went above and beyond what i'd expect anyone to do in finding out the status of the shipment. stand up guy...and stands behind his product and the toyota community...

The above quote is in Canadian dollers ( 160 )
I highly doubt I will punch a hole in my cab. I know a few people with these kinds of body lifts and they have been okay for years.
I was going to order some of them bed spacers from rb when I got a kit in ( none come with them)
So yes.... anyone answer the question at hand?

probably USD..id guess he's in new jersey. have you had a look around the local boards? bc4x4, crawlinbc & funinbc? usually some BL's poppin up here n there...
i also know a few people with these kinda body lifts too..hence my sharing their experience. although it wasnt all with toyotas..but other trucks as well. with enough rust (which is notorious w/ toys esp round our parts) and a small support...it punches right through. this is with rediculously high body lifts though...like 2.5~3" and on full bodies..not just cabs alone.
but since you'd have to get bed extensions from RB anyway..id buy it all at once from one dealer who knows his stuff and will sell you what you need complete. sucks to pay more yeah...but im a firm believer in pay more once or pay twice later...but thats just me.

By the way, upon further investigation I'm not sure you can get a Rancho backed, Black Diamond body lift...
Rancho doesn't mention Black diamond or any body lift kit on their website. Black Diamond is marketed by Superlift and I don't see anything on their website either about a toyota body lift or even anything for toyota's by Black Diamond at all.

I think you might be getting scammed...

I kinda thought that this guy was jerkin me around.
He said he would buy it new from lordco ( I should just go up there myself)
When I said that on their website it says they do not make body lifts for pickups he just said, well they do..
Im starting to hate craigslist...
Well, you guys have twisted my arm enough, I will just save up for a body lift from 4crawler.com
Getting my cams done in april by Johnny so thats gonna drain my account
