i would think that a 10-20 mm spacer would work just fine... with anything bigger than the 10mil spacers you might need to lengthen the studs tho... at least on our tC we had that problem...

Good idea. 4Crawler runs these so they must be fine.

Anyone knows if the offset differs between toyota 15" rims? I have the same style steel wheels as Matt16 however there was a different steel wheel design for the '89-ish model pickups, etc. Then you've got the aluminum SR5 wheel. Any differences???

you run chains on the front tires? I have seen it done with military trucks, but i don't know if that is the greatest thing you could be doing.

Front chains are better for deep snow I hear, as the front wheels are cutting into deep snow, whereas the back wheels get to run over snow compacted already by the front. i just bought my chains, so I haven't tested that theory out. Eventually I want 2 sets of chains, to chain up all 4 wheels.

I would be leery about putting them on the front with nothing on the back. the back end would probably try and come around on you with that locker.

Yeah, that's true on the slippery roads, but if you're in deep snow, take your foot of the gas, and the truck stops pretty much instantly.

Heck man in the time you've put into this thread you could have tossed the chains on and air'd down. It's not like you won't hear the chain tapping the control arm if it contacts tink tink tink. Nothing sneaky like it cutting into your sidewall.
