BJ spacer + bracket suspension lift
Ok so today I had to tackle my upper ball joints on my 94 4Runner. They were the original ones and they had play so while I was in there, I also added BJ spacers as well. The truck already has a 4" Superlift suspension on it but I did not add the BJ spacer for more lift but to smooth out the ride and it did! What I did was measure the wheels to the bottom of the fender and then put the spacers in. What this would do is require less torsion bar cranking but give you the same lift as before. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone with a bracket lift on your truck or 4Runner. I could have cranked it higher to get a total of a 6" lift but then you would have a stiff ride.
Another thing I want to mention is Edelbrock IAS shocks. I bought a set for a 4" lifted 4Runner and come to find out they are 2" short. So if anyone wants to use these shocks they will not work with a bracket lift but they would work perfectly for a BJ spacer lift.
