So far it seems my first attempt at replacing a head gasket has been successful. Thanks to everyone who responded to my posts about a leaking EGR plate, I appreciate it.

I'm glad I joined this forum. There is so much good information here.

Hopefully this head gasket takes me from 215,000 to 300,000.

In an effort to maximize the amount of time before I get to do this again, I've thought about a header. I am certain I need a new cat as well, but am curious about a header. My rig is mostly stock, and I'm not looking for more power, just more mileage on the odometer.
