Big Bass for regular cabs!!!
I thought I would show you all the system I have in my truck, It delivers maximum bass with totaly off the shelf parts, (No custom boxes).
My system consists of 2 RF punch 6.5in speakers, 2 RF 4.5in speakers, 1 RF P300.1 amp (1800 watts max I think!), and one 10in Infinity Kappa 102.7 sub in a Q-Logic box built for our trucks!
The sub box allows the seat to go all the way back, and allow a really large amount of Bass to come out with its backfire design. Now mine isnt screwed in like it is suppost to be, but it is still sitting fine just behind the seat, and that pushes it enough to keep it from rattleing to much.
This is a really good product and I would recommend it to anyone that would like it. (if you have the rear window though, I would also invest in some dynomat as it moves a lot of stuff!!)
Here are the pics:

yea, the q-log boxes with 10 inches fit in quite nicely. iv got a p2 10in sub in there hooked to a dual amp pushin like 225 watts rms. it pounds very nicely. all iv got is the 2 dash speakers and they are 4in infinity ref. they cover the bass nicely. i love my audio

Yeah, I am pushing 300watts RMS just through the sub. The Prev, owner had infinitys in the dash, but I didnt know it. So when I blew out the cheap roadmaster (walmart brand) door speakers, I just changed everything out! I wish i would have kept the infinitys though!

I didnt install the door speakers or the dash speakers, because I didnt know how easy it was back then, and I didnt install the head unit, amp, or first set of subs either, I just didnt know what I know now. I did install the infinity sub and q-logic box though.
BTW my first set of subs were 2 p2 8in subs, and i had my seat up so far, all my freinds knees would touch the dash, and I kept blowing them out, so I just blew them out one last time, and I replaced it with what you see here...it feels good to not have the steering wheel jabbed into your stomach!

Hah... When I read this I thought you came up with a way to mount your fishin trophies for everyone to see without ruining the fish. Nice setup, but shame on you for leading me to believe fish talk was goin on in this thread!

Yeah cause you know usually when I go fishin, I just tie the fish to my rollbar and let em flop in the wind for everybody to see my catch, but you usually loose one or two that way... So I was like hell yeah, somebody thought of another way!

Thanks
This is a great thread... I have been wondering and searching for ideas for the system that I want to do in my 1992 std cab this spring break. I already have decent door and dash speaker so I might keep them for now. But I am really looking to get a little more bass without having to crank it up real high. I have a few questions though, where can I pick up one of those boxes from, and whats a good sub and amp combo that will perform well but not break the bank? ALso wheres the best place to put the amp?
Thanks,
Dan
Thanks,
Dan

Isn't lightning audio made by rockford fosgate, but just sold under a different name for cheaper? Thought I heard that somewhere... But yeah, the way I see it is, it's kinda like buying a Denali when you could have gotten the same exact truck for thousands less, just sold under a different name: Yukon XL

i got my whole set up at best buy. the qlog box was like 70 the p2 10in sub was about 80 and the amp was a tiny dual amp for about 70. way cheap all around and i love it. it can rly pound when u need it and its clean like crazy. great set up. and the infinity reference 4inches are great too. they cover well.
