Pruney81, I hope not. After flopping back and forth I've pretty much decided to use the Rock gasket on mine. But I may still change my mind.

Pennywiserawker, how did you install yours? Engnbldr posted this advice a while back:

Definitely take your head in to a machine shop to get checked out. Could be that a cracked/warped head is the underlying cause of your problem...

oh yeah

thinking about finding a 2wd with a bad motor to scoot around in, putting my 22re in it, and getting an LS1 to put in the 4wd but that will be some time from now; I plan on sourcing a motor and getting it together first, which I MIGHT start doing next year I cant just drop a stock LS1 in it

hey pennywiserawker i had the same problem with my 93 22re, it ended up being a cracked head. the head was cracked right between the valves on cylinders 1 2 an 3

Why not fix your truck? I never had a "good time" for a break down..Usually at the WORSE time..

30k miles on my crappy Rock products so far and it over heats every time I drive. Damn, I knew I should have went with Toyota OEM
