Kick the top part of the tire as hard as you can.
If not the sledge hammer hit at the top and bottom of the tire eventually works.

Hit the lip of the rim, on the back side, as hard as you can.

Can't get it? Try a bigger hammer!

Go to your local hardware store and see if they have Mjolnir in stock. That oughta do it.

Put the lugs back but don't tighten them. Then drive in a circle VERY SLOWLY until the wheel pops off. FYI, it makes a big scary noise when it does break free.

Are you serious? I don't know many people who like cracked rims...

Give the tire a good whack with a rubber hammer.

I'd thread the nuts on all the way, then loosen them off a couple turns. That way, you're wheel studs won't be damaged (as they would if there was a 1cm gap between the rim and the lug nut.

LMFAO!

The loose lug nuts and circle driving works. Like Matt said just a couple turns loose though, enough to see a thread or 2.

ALso, if you're going to kick the rim, turn the wheel as far as possible, then kick the tire outwards. Works way better.

install one lug nut, three turns or so, then donkey kick the hell outta the tire. Be sure not to hit the rim, it hurts like mad. If that doesn't work, use the sledge on the back of the rim (make sure you have a lug in place). just tap the edge of the rim on the inside.

I'd say leave the lugs on, but one or two turns loose, jack up that wheel off the ground and use a small hydraulic jack between the frame and rim and put some pressure... not much... against the rim, then hit the other side with a small hammer.

We put anti-seize on the back of the rim when we re-installed, that's not its normal application, but maybe it'll work. What have others done, aside from frequent wheel rotations?
