i was on a trail the other day and a jeep cam speeding twords me and i sworved off the trail and i have a plow hook up on my 4 runner and i hit a rock and it bent the frame slightly i was wondering if there is any little tricks to fix it , its not that bad but i need to straighten it to put the plow back on

Get it on a rack, unless you have the tools.

to pull the frame on a yota you need big stuff.... really only done by those that have rack and big pullers...

it sounds more like the plow mount is bent, no offense but it must be a cheaper home model of plow. I totalled a truck on a head on collision with my mount, I took it off & the mount was stright as an arrow (it was a western commerical plow). I would take the mount off, fix the frame if it is the item bent, if not get a new mount as they are cheap (even the commercial ones are not that expensive). getting a new mount will be cheaper than trying to bent it back. if it is the frame take it to a rack & get it bent back. Most plows should have some room for error/play to work with.

i took look at the frame and it is the frame not the mount , it is pushed in ,crushed together its only like a 1/2 - 1/4 inch

If its the frame you ought to take it to a frame shop. How did you determine the frame is bent?

heating up a box frame like that would require removing 90% of the truck up front. The heat would boil the oil out of your steering gear box, and whatever else was near by that would absorb all the radiant heat from the torch and the hot metal, then you would still need a puller to move it. I 3rd or is it 4th the frame shop.

depends on how much work is involved. take it to a shop, any decent shop will look at it and give you a free quote, and an idea of what needs to be done

at the shop i used to work at, it was $40hr...and the job was like 20-30 hours (rough estimate) but it can get up there....I would say $400-1500!

its weird thou because nothing else is off it doesnt pull to one side of the road its just bent the only reason i need to pull it out is to get the plow back on
