bent bumper. repairable/worth it?

i was trying to be a hero and pull a stuck full size ford out and ended up bending my rear bumper pretty bad. the middle came out and the ends went in. the bumper has been powder-coated and the coating looks good still but i'm thinking that if the bumper has to be heated up to be repaired, then that will definitely wreck the power-coating in which case, it will all have to be sandblasted and re-coated. probably not worth it if this is the case. i'm in a fairly small town and don't know of any place that i could ask so i'm looking here for opinions.

i could probably get a pic if that helps.

in a perfect world with more money, yes i could. $400usd = $498cdn + shipping + powdercoating + 13% tax.

their website only shows tacoma bumpers anyways. do they make em for pre-tacos?

If it is not a tube bumper, you should be able to remove the bumper, put the center in a vise with a couple rags protecting the powder coat and crank the vise down. It should push the center back in and the outer edges will pull back into place when the center moves. You'll probably have to do some finessing where the bumper bolts to the frame though. Use the biggest vise you can get to so the pressure is spread out over a wider area. It might need some hammering(with vise pressure) to help push it back but only as a last resort. If you don't have a vise, Pull the bumper, jack up the front of the truck and with the ends of the bumper sitting on pieces of wood and the center of the bumper pointing up, use the weight of the truck and set one wheel on the high spot of the bumper, it might push the pull back close to flat.

I do! Only from hockey though. I would try to fix it and if you can't, just scrap it and get a replacement or an aftermarket. I had trouble getting mine to line up just from taking it off and putting it back on. I think I might just ditch it all together and save for an aftermarket one.
