Belt ?'s

how do I tighten the altenator belt, and drive belt, on my toy with a 22re. Pics would be awesome

see the pic. sorry about the crummy arrows

DRIVE BELT: loosen bolt #2, then adjust bolt #1. then tighten bolt #2.

ALTERNATOR: I don't have any pictures, but in the area of arrow #3, behind the power steering pump pulley there is a 12 mm bolt at the top of the alternator (at top alternator bracket). loosen this bolt, then loosen 14mm bolt at bottom of alternator. now from the top drivers side of the engine I pry with a 2' long 1" diameter pipe against the alternator. with the bottom of the pipe GENTLY on the timing chain cover. pry with one hand and tighten the 12mm bolt at the alt bracket with the other.

whats the trick to loosening bolt 2 mine will not budge.

Eh,

If you do not have any, get a bottle of PB Blaster. Spray some on. Let it sit 15 minutes and try it. If nothing, I would spray some on a couple of times a niight for 2 or 3 days and then try it.

if that doesn't work heat it with a torch, it will come for sure then.
