I know it's the wrong section, but first post says, "any year or model toyota", so I guess I'll be the first of the 3rd gen 4Runner crowd
Stock, couple weeks after I got her:

As she stands now:

Before the lift, but after the HID projector retro:

The weekend after I bought her the timing chain snapped due to the fact that the previous owner had done the timing chain but hadn't torqued the timing chain guide bolts and they had backed out. I then learned the basics of car repair from my neighbour. Here I am doing the fuel filter if I recall.

After I fixed her, I took her on a 300km road trip from Vancouver to Victoria, up the West Coast Vancouver Island to Port Renfrew, across the island (in the snow) to Duncan-Cowichan up then up to Nanaimo and back across.

On the trip I noticed the shocks were totally shot which was a problem as I just mangled my a couple discs in my neck. The shocks and springs were promptly replaced first with ProComp shocks and OME springs (PC shocks were too stiff with the OME coils) and then OME Nitrocharger shocks.

THis is why i bought her:

I then tipped her on her side.

Installed fog lights and removed the valence.

Then fixed her:

In summary:
Then:

Now:

My Mods
OME rear coils (med duty) and OME Nitrocharger shocks
Aussie locker

Cargo box

York On board air

BJ spacers, swaybar discos

Most recently, I played with the front suspension and squeezed a little flex out of it, I'm rather please.

One of the bolts holding the skid plate to the frame ripped out last fall in some rocks and I never got around to tapping it out as the 3/8" tap (to re-tap a 8mm hole) was busted. The skid plate ended up catching on a log and bending in half. It also tore out a couple other bolts. I plan on building a new skid made of 1/8" and bolting it to the front crossmembers with 3/8" grade 5 bolts.
Yep tipped her because I was being stupid, but that's all you'll get out of me. Now I've replaced the doors, and fixed the roof. A couple months after fixing the roof we had some really wintery conditions. I was turning around in a spot that I've turned around in before in dry conditions and scraped the the bodywork on the roof because I had an inch of ice on the roof and there was some snow build up on the ground. The passenger front and rear fenders are a little marked up, but not something I'm worried about.
